This shawl is a free form yet structured design to show off the beauty of the Jorstad Creek Antigua gradient yarn, especially when paired with the drape and shine of Iona.
Your choices are not limited! Many combinations have been used, all creating one-of-a-kind shawls.
Along with designer Nancy Mills, you will use the following techniques. These skills can be applied to many projects:
W&T short rows
Carrying yarn up the side
Slip stitch with yarn in front (SYIF) and why
Practice making color notes for the border
Two stitch bind off
Weaving in ends using duplicate stitch
For the class, please bring the following:
2 remnants about 5-10 g each of fingering weight yarn, preferably with high contrast
Size 5 needles, or something you feel will allow you to get gauge
There is a limited class size so be sure to register for this great class!
Upon registration, you will receive your "homework assignment."
